The frustrating thing is looking up where Mado lives and finding the records haven't been updated for him. But they have been updated for more recent additions. So Mado may still not be living anywhere. He'll have to check with him.

Instead, Colin finally runs into him by chance at the mess one evening and jogs up to him.

"There you are!" A wan smile. "I couldn't find where you live."

"Here I am!"

Mado beams at him, looking up from his stew bowl.

"Did you need something, friend?" Just gonna casually breeze past the comment about where he lives.

[keenly]

A pause. You wouldn't know that very brief pause and that blank look are what surprise looks like on Colin unless you knew him.

"Not...need, no, am I, am I interrupting?"

Is he unwelcome, is what he's wondering.

Having taken another bite, Mado shakes his head mutely. Then, after a pause to swallow, he smiles once more.

"Not at all!"

He gestures to the seats around him.

Colin tries to relax at that, and takes a seat.

"Just wanted to ask how you are after, you know. Everything."

[lumelume]

"Oh! You know." Were Mado in his other form, his tail might be wagging a little too hard, his mouth open in the kind of smile that communicates nervousness rather than contentment.

"Doing well! How about yourself? Your knees look like they're back to normal."

[keenly]

"My knees?" Colin blinks, then remembers. "Oh. Yeah, thanks to having not been messed up in the first place. Best healer, that."

Mado grins.

"Indeed!"

He takes another bite of his stew, then opens up his posture somewhat, finding more ease in the conversation.

"It was all quite silly, I think, what we imagined." Definitely all completely fabricated by their sleeping minds, right? "Perhaps it served a purpose! The spirit seemed to think so. I hope she's right."

Although no 'mister' is necessary.

[ In Amador's mailbox there is a tin of candies, mostly fruit flavored, in the style of what we know as Turkish Delight. It has a bow on it.

That's his Satinalia gift. There is no note or mark indicating who it's from, but Prudence wears a very signature scent if he wanted to track her down. ]

[It's a question he wasn't altogether prepared to hear.]

Yeah, unless they run out. I'm used to sleeping on the road, so I wouldn't mind if we got a patch of floor in front of a fireplace.

[His smile is audible.]

How strange! To be staying in my uncle's house, though he doesn't know he's my uncle.

Well, [cheerfully, patiently,] as far as I know, my father doesn't know he's my father either! And neither does his wife, who's sister to Prince Amancio's wife.
